The Story Behind NDSC Whey Protein

Whey Protein is a popular choice by many athletes for these simple reasons:

1. It’s digested quickly

 2. It’s absorbed efficiently

 3. It’s high in the amino acid leucine, which plays a key role in initiating protein synthesis

 4. It’s easy on the taste buds

When we set out to create our NDSC Whey Protein, we wanted to achieve several things:

We Wanted to Maximize The Amount of Protein Per Scoop and Minimize the Amount of Carbohydrates and Fat.

Here at NDSC we love to eat, so why use “wasted” calories on a protein shake. We wanted to make a Whey Protein that is full of protein without the carbs or calories.

We Wanted it to Be Free of Lactose, Artificial Sweeteners and Flavoring, Gluten, MSG, and GMOs.

Whey Protein has much better digestibility than other proteins. Many people have a lactose allergy, even if it is minimal, so we wanted to make something that taste like chocolate milk… Except its not chocolate milk.

Gluten-free diets are not necessary, but those with celiac disease or a legitimate gluten sensitivity must avoid all forms of gluten. MSG is used to hide the bitter flavor of Whey and at NDSC we are choosing not to include them in our supplement. GMO foods are not as dangerous as some of the industry leaders may be screaming from the rooftops about, but a large number of respected scientists believe more research should be done before we fully integrate them into our food supplies and diets.

We Wanted it to Come From Cows That Weren’t Treated with Hormones or Antibiotics.

Milk from cows treated with such drugs are potentially not be as bad as some people claim, but there is scientific evidence that these hormones can lead to certain diseases.

We Wanted it to Have an Outstanding Taste and Mouthfeel.

Pretty simple, you are drinking this daily, we wanted it to taste amazing. You work really hard in the gym, you deserve to treat yourself to a tasty protein shake. We think NDSC has created a Whey Protein that taste really good!

What is Whey Protein?

Whey protein is the protein that the entire protein supplementation industry is founded on. Whey protein is a milk based protein and contains many of the important bioactive compounds from milk that aid in muscle growth and repair.

Why We Chose Whey?

When we set out to design a protein powder whey was the obvious choice. It is the most anabolic, digests quickly, and is much easier to mix into liquids and other foods. When you compare whey to every other form of protein (e.g. soy, pea, and even casein) in almost every scenario whey brings home the gold medal. We also chose our dose carefully: 20-30 grams appears to optimize muscle protein synthesis without displacing the ability to have a meal shortly after. With our dosing you can get a post-workout shake in and then have another meal a little bit later and keep the muscle growth rolling.

Benefits to Whey

Whey protein elicits the greatest muscle protein synthesis response and is the most researched on the market. It digests quickly and complements a whole-food diet very well. It contains a lot of minerals and other bioactive compounds like beta-lactoglobulin and alpha-lactalbumin. It may also help bolster your antioxidant system and help with gut health.

Other Benefits

Other BenefitsLow Sugar. Etc: We strategically made our formula very, very low in sugar and sweetened it as lightly as possible, while still making it palpable. We source high quality protein that passes rigorous testing, and it contains a blend of whey proteins so you get a range of fast to slower digesting proteins.

What the Clubs All About

The Club was created from a lot of frustration.

Frustrated that supplement companies make Whey Protein for $5 and sell it for $55. Or claim they give free shipping because they want to save you money, even though they markup Whey Protein 8 to 9 times the cost.

Frustrated that companies lie about ingredients and hide nutritional information behind proprietary blend.

Frustrated that they spend money marketing products with models and athletes who probably don't even use their product. We didn't care and you probably don't either, so why let it make your products cost more?

We could spend all day telling you what the club is all about, but neither of us have time for that.

So what is the club? A place where people who want to improve their health can visit to buy HIGH QUALITY SUPPLEMENTS at AFFORDABLE PRICES. No more markups, no more middle men.

The Club = Simplicity, Peace of Mind, and Saving You Money.
