The Process Isn't Always Pretty
Three simple words fuel our society and their habits. Three simple words cause the average person to live in a dull state of being, only striving to get as much as they can for as little as they can.
Fast - Free - Easy.
With those three words right there you might be able to get anyone, to desire anything. We all love a good free shirt, or a free coozie, sunglasses, etc. We would all prefer the quickest shipment method for a product we order online. We all want to find the easiest way to complete a task. These three words have almost become part of a modern persons way of life.
'Why does this have to be so hard??'
'I'm sure there is an easier way to do this.'
'I'll find somewhere else to get this, it's too expensive here.'
All of these are phrases that might have come out of your mouth at some point in your life. It's perfectly normal to have these type of thoughts..
We have all wanted to quit. We have all sought comfort in the words of a close friend or family member.
It is often said that the one thing that sets apart the average person and the extremely successful one is the willingness to do hard stuff - the stuff no one else wants to do.
Successful people aren't any different than you, they just know what needs to get done and they make sure that it happens. They don't necessarily enjoy doing those things, they just know they need to get done and they need to get done extremely well.
To get around the corner of average, you can go against those three words mentioned at the top of the article. If you want to make your life something significant, a great way to do this is to pursue the opposite of those words.
Slow - Costly - Difficult.
Sounds awful, doesn't it? It will be at times, but that is what makes it beautiful. Your process will not always be perfect, and it definitely will not always be pretty. Speed bumps, poor conditions, distractions, all of these things will find their way to your path. They are just there to see how badly you want to achieve what will be waiting for you at the end of the journey.
Throughout your journey, no matter how difficult it may get, keep your grit. Stay determined to achieve what it is you set out to achieve. Anything that comes fast or easy usually isn't worth having.
